Creation museum

When we went on Vacation this May I mentioned that we visited the Creation Museum but I was unable to give very many details. Today I'd like to share with you about the Museum.
The Creation Museum is owned by Answers in Geneses an organization dedicated to defending the Bible from the very beginning. Ken Ham, owner of A.I.G., points out that if you do not accept all of God's word as truth, starting in Geneses, then you have no basis for believing the rest of the Bible. If you don't think God really meant what He said in one aria how do you know what He said in other places in the Bible is true? You need to accept all of God's word not pick and choose the parts you like.
Evolution is in my opinion Satan's greatest tactic of our time to undermine the word of God. Evolution tries to claim something, billions of years for instance, as fact when in reality it is only speculation. No one has every had any hard evidence for evolution however through media, text books etc... evolution is presented as a definite fact. Answers in Geneses shows how in actuality science proves that the Bible is true. That God created the earth in 6 literal days, not billions of years. If you dig deeper you will see how the account in Geneses fits with better with science then evolution dose.
The Creation Museum gives many defences for the Bible that you will not hear in many other places. The museum was made very well, it is very high tech, lots of life sized dinosaur replicas, beautiful grounds out side, a planetarium but most importantly everything is compatible with the Bible.
I would recommend the Museum to any one. As one of the signs say "I went and I believed". If you have any doubts I would urge you to go. It will change your life.

If you have any questions concerning creation vs. evolution I'd love to try to answer them for you or you can go to http://www.answersingenesis.org/ . This website can give you answers for almost anything to do with the topic. It has lots of articles and even video clips with tons of information.

The Last of Our Branson Vacation

One of the last things we did on our Branson vacation was go horse riding. This was Amber's favorite thing about the trip, I think. She has, had a fascination with horses for quite a while but this was her first time to really get to ride one. A guide took us all on a 45 min. horse ride on a nice trail. We were able to see some pretty flowers and some great views of the mountains. I think Amber thoroughly enjoyed herself and everyone else had a good time too.

Well, that about sums up our vacation. We had a great trip! Thank you to all the faithful followers of "Whatever is True". I won't bore you with any more vacation pictures :)

The Antistas

Mr. & Mrs. Antista

One night while we were in Branson we had the chance to meet some of Daddy's friends that lived in the aria. Their names were Mr. and Mrs. Jim and Phyllis Antista. We had a great time with them! We all went out to dinner at a restaurant called McFarland's. I've never seen a restaurant like it before. Out side there were all kinds of stores you cold buy souvenirs from and inside they had great food with a fun atmosphere. Some of the tables they had were trick tables that slowly got higher as you ate. It was funny to see people eating and the next thing they knew the table was up to their chins!
After we ate dinner the Antista's came to our time share for coffee. We were able to show them our instruments and give them a mini "concert". After that we got to hear Daddy and the Mr. Antista tell funny stories about going to the church together, years ago.

Silver Dollar City

Well, we arived home late Monday nigh, from our trip to Branson. Things have been kind of crazy so I'll try to catch you up over the next few days about all that we did there.

On Friday and Saturday we visited Silver dollar City. Silver Dollar City is an old west theme park. The park has many rides but it also has lots of shows that you can go see. That was great for me because I am not a roller coaster person. Daddy, Mommy, Amber and Trent rode a huge roller coaster. Trey was able to ride his first roller coaster as well and he loved it!
The park had great food! We happened to go at Bar B-Q and Blue Grass month. I loved the special sauces they used on the meat and almost everyone in our family rated the restaurant at a 10!
We really had fun listening to the music too. They brought in about 15 groups that played blue grass and southern Gospel music. I think the other kids enjoyed seeing other people play the same instruments as they do.
We would recommend Silver Dollar City to both young and old. They have something for everyone!

Sight & Sound

Yesterday we visited the Sight and Sound Theater. Sight and Sound is a theater that reenacts Bible events. The musical we saw was Noah's ark. It was great! Everything was portrayed very well. They showed the seriousness of the event and the parallel between Noah ark and the and Jesus dieing on the cross, as well as adding some fun songs and other elements. In one scene they made the auditorium look like an ark. Seeing that, made it easier to see how all the animals could have fit in the ark, along with eight people. The best part was that at the end they clearly reveled the plan of salvation.
I would defiantly recommend it to others. They not only show Noah's Ark but Danial, Ruth, Creation and at Christmas time Jesus' birth as well.

Roy Rogers Museum

Several of the people in our family are big cowboy fans, Roy Rogers fans in particular. Today we had the opportunity to visit the Roy Rogers museum. It was very good. The museum had a lot of pictures of Roy and Dale, it had many of Roy's Cowboy clothing including boot, hats etc... it also had lots of the toys and such with the Roy Rogers stamp of approval. Roy Jr. said that all the toys were tested by Roy Roger's 9 children before they were sold.

Roy Jr. had a show of his own. We took some time to watch him sing and tell stories about his Dad and Mom (Roy & Dale). Something that I didn't know about Roy was that he had a wife before Dale however she died not long after they were married. When Roy and Dale got married they had a child of their own but she died of down syndrome just after her second birthday. The Rogers decided that instead of having more of their own children with the probability of them also having down syndrome, they would adopt. My understanding is that they adopted seven children.

St. Louis Arch

Yesterday we took a boat ride on the Mississippi River. From the boat we were able to see the St. Louis Arch. The day was a bit over cast but the view was still beautiful. We all enjoyed floating on the river... well, except Trent. The poor guy got a little sick.

After we took a ride on the boat we traveled the rest of the way to Branson. We are staying in a time share Grandpa and Grandma Schnarr let us use. The place is beautiful. It turned out that we got 3 apartments with adjoining door. Each apartment has 2 bathrooms, a bedroom with a jacuzzi, a kitchen and a living room. Another feature we like was each apartment had a washer and dryer set, very handy!

Bungee Trampoline

Today after traveling for several hrs. we stopped at a mall to shop and get some lunch. The mall was very big. It was much larger than our mall at home. In one section they had a trampoline bungee jumping aria. Basically you a get strapped to bungee cords and jump on a trampoline. You go much higher than you would without the cords. It everyone enjoyed it. I even took a turn, if you can believe it.

After wards we visited one of Daddy's college friends, Bill Blakley. He is a pastor of a church that prints Bible to send to different countries. We got to take a tour of the print shop. It was really cool to see how everything worked.

The Schnarr's & The Robertson's

After about seven hrs. of driving our family is in Kentucky. Our relatives Uncle Joel, Aunt Denee, Aundrea, Micah and Natalie came up to spend a few days with us.

Today we all visited the Creation Museum. I'll have more on that later but all I will say for now it that it was awesome! If you haven't been it's really something worth seeing.

Our families have been having so much fun together! Not only have we visited the creation museum but we went swimming in the hotel pool, played games together and just hung out. It was great to see everyone! Aundrea came out for my birthday last year but we hadn't seen everyone else in about 3-4 years, so it was a really fun time!
